Our Story
Celebrating Dominican Heritage
The Dominican Grand Parade — Desfile Dominicano — has united Miami's Dominican community for over two decades in a vibrant celebration of culture, pride, and identity.
Our Mission
The Dominican Grand Parade exists to honor and preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Dominican Republic while celebrating the strength and contributions of the Dominican community in South Florida.
Each year, we bring together thousands of Dominicans and friends from across Miami and beyond to march, dance, and celebrate the traditions that define us — from the rhythms of merengue and bachata to the colors of our flag and the warmth of our people.
Our History
Two Decades of Pride
Founded in the early 2000s by a group of passionate Dominican community leaders in Miami, the Desfile Dominicano began as a modest neighborhood march and has grown into one of the largest Dominican cultural events in the United States.
Over the years, the parade has welcomed tens of thousands of participants and spectators, featuring elaborate floats, traditional costumes, live musical performances, and cultural exhibitions that showcase the depth and beauty of Dominican heritage.
Today, the Dominican Grand Parade stands as a symbol of unity, pride, and the enduring spirit of the Dominican diaspora in Miami — a city that has embraced and been enriched by Dominican culture for generations.
